Doing
We’ve got some deer mice that infiltrated our home! We caught one and released it back to the woods, and now we are working on catching the second one (we think it’s the last one).
My wife and I have been losing some sleep over this because they make noise at night and we are also stressed about our foods getting contaminated. Deer mice can carry hantavirus, which is a serious disease, but thankfully, our province never has any reported cases and hantavirus is very rare in general.
So far, the deer mice haven’t touched our foods so that’s a relief—small mercies!

- Working on a “1 year after” follow-up video for my Anthros review video, where I also plan to talk about the V2 of the chair and how it compares to the V1

- I’ve created a “Discover” page where I curate various things from/about/by me. So far I’ve included some audio resources I published before and two peer-reviewed publications I worked on. I’m going to also add things like, the setup I use for work, services I use etc.

- Doing some research on transit and hotel for a Portugal trip next year
Long-term project
- Since June this year, I’ve been learning 🇵🇹 European Portuguese 🇵🇹 with the fantastic Practice Portuguese. Aprender português é difícil, mas é divertido e eu gosto! A minha esposa e eu vamos viajar para Portugal no próximo ano.

Anime: Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood
I’m rewatching it along with my wife. It’s her favourite anime of all time and I really liked it the first time a few years ago. I don’t think I fully absorbed it then, so I’m enjoying this rewatch so far.
Music:
I’ve been listening to the OSTs from Into the Breach on repeat from front to back for a month now. I’ve never played the game, but I stumbled upon the OSTs and they immediately captivated me.
Book: The Resistance Painter by Kath Johnathan
It’s a historical fiction set in World War II Poland, written by a Canadian author. I’m near the end so hopefully I will finish it by the end of the year.
