Doing

I’ll be doing a fun video project at work in December that will allow me to bring in my gimbal (Ronin SC) so I’m pretty excited about that. I’ll be editing that too, so that’ll be my main work project for the rest of the year.

As December arrives, I feel like my brain is slipping into holiday mode. I don’t really want to do much besides fun things like blogging and reading my newly obtained, Merriam-Webster’s Collegiate Dictionary, 12th edition (I’m a bit of a dictionary nerd).

Unlucky for me, during this holiday season, I also get to dread January 2026 because of the RTO mandate that my employer has laid down upon us. I’ll be requesting for WFH days but I’m not sure how many I’ll be approved for. If I need to go in more than 2 days a week, my wife and I will have to make significant changes to our lifestyle and life planning (that are negative).

Depending on how many WFH days I will be approved for in December, my wife and I may have to spend some time during this holiday to prepare for next year.

• Working on a “1 year after” follow-up video for my Anthros review video, where I also plan to talk about the V2 of the chair and how it compares to the V1

Blog

• I’ve created a “Discover” page where I curate various things from/about/by me. So far I’ve included some audio resources I published before and two peer-reviewed publications I worked on. I’m going to also add things like, the setup I use for work, services I use etc.
• I have a couple of blog posts in the works right now.

Other

• Doing some research on transit and hotel for a Portugal trip next year

Long-term project

• Since June this year, I’ve been learning 🇵🇹 European Portuguese 🇵🇹 with the fantastic Practice Portuguese. Aprender português é difícil, mas é divertido e eu gosto! A minha esposa e eu vamos viajar para Portugal no próximo ano.

Anime: Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood

I’m rewatching it along with my wife. It’s her favourite anime of all time and I really liked it the first time a few years ago. I don’t think I fully absorbed it then, so I’m enjoying this rewatch so far.

I’ve been listening to the OSTs from Into the Breach on repeat from front to back for a month now. I’ve never played the game, but I stumbled upon the OSTs and they immediately captivated me.
