Doing
In the last version of this page, I mentioned I was going to look for resources to start learning Swift programming—turns out I’m not in the mood for that yet. I’ve been in a blogging mood—writing blog posts, adding content to my Discover page, and searching for a better typeface for my headings—so I’m just going to let myself enjoy it. I really want to start writing some content in Cantonese to practice my Jyutping (a romanization system for Cantonese).
I’m also trying to spend more time learning European Portuguese because my wife and I booked a trip to Portugal later this year. I will meet her extended families there for the first time and I want to be able to have some basic conversations with them!
YouTube
I finished filming the “1 year after” follow-up video for my Anthros review video, and now it’s in post-production. It’s a pretty complex project so I will be working on it for the next little while.
In the meantime, I’m thinking about the future of my channel. I thought the reason why I stopped making new videos was because I was in a creative rut, but after posting a couple of videos since, the thought of making videos more often still doesn’t excite me. I need to mull this over.

Reading
- Elements of Typographic Style by Robert Bringhurst
I read this book during my undergrad doing typesetting for a novel as part of a capstone project but I have barely any memory of what I read. Labouring over the typefaces for this blog just made me want to re-read this classic again.
TV: Schitt’s Creek
Music: I’ve been mostly listening to a compilation playlist I made consisting of various video game music I like, but recently I discovered Pylot and DAMN I’m obsessed! This is my favourite track so far:
